There was a time when planning a holiday abroad meant having to deal with applying for a visa first. But, not anymore! The Brazilian president recently announced that Indian and Chinese nationals will no longer require a visa to enter the country. Similarly, Bhutan, Nepal and a number of other countries don’t require Indian national to get a visa. So, if you’re already planning your winter vacay, here are some kickass destinations where you wouldn’t need a visa.
1. Seychelles
For all the newlywed lovebirds, Seychelles is the ultimate honeymoon destination and guess what? You don’t even need a visa to go there! All you need is a valid passport from the period of arrival to departure and valid round trip tickets. And you’d be all set to explore the uninhabited natural resources of this African archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean.
2. Maldives
From the pristine beaches to the coral atolls, Maldives is a slice of heaven in the Indian Ocean that allows a visa-free visit to Indian passport holders for a duration of 90 days! The island country is home to 26 ring-shaped atolls and is known for its beaches, blue lagoons and extensive reefs. Its untouched beauty, the absolute seclusion and the luxury the Maldives offer put it right up there on the list of best honeymoon destinations in the world!
3. Dominica
Just grab your passports and get set to explore Dominica the Caribbean island country with its diverse landscape consisting of mountains, rainforests, lakes, rivers, national parks and the world’s second-largest hot spring, the Boiling Lake. You can take long walks on the beaches, go on a jungle safari or indulge in hiking and you don’t even need a visa to do any of it!
4. Macau

With very few travel restrictions into the country, all you need is a passport with a minimum of 60 months validity and a return ticket within 14 days out of Hong Kong and you’re all set!
5. Micronesia
A sovereign island country located in the Pacific Ocean, Micronesia is home to 609 islands along with a lot of unexploited natural beauty for you to explore! As an Indian national, you can visit the country easily without a visa and can stay for up to 30 days as long as you have a valid passport and experience the unique culture, palm-shaded beaches, wreck-filled dives and ancient ruins that this island has to offer!
6. Grenada
Located in the Carribean Sea as part of the West Indies, Grenada is popularly known as the land of spices. An island towards the end of a chain of six other islands called the Grenadines, Grenada Island has a volcanic-based surface. With exempted visa requirements for up to 30 days for Indian passport holders, we think Grenada sounds like a pretty cool destination to explore on your next vacay!
7. Trinidad and Tobago
The twin-island country of South West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago is situated towards the south of Grenada and is massively popular for its music and festivities! Since these twin islands see tropical weather for most parts of the year, it would be a great place to escape to during the chilly winter season. Also, most of the traditions in the island overlap with that of India so you’d also still feel close to home!
8. Jamaica
