Founded in 1972 by Gopal Sharman, a playwright, poet, musician, theatre and television director along with his wife, Jalabala Vaidya who is an actress, Akshara Theatre is now one of the most well-known centres for theatre and art. 5. Siri Auditorium
Known as one of the most diverse complexes in Delhi, Siri Auditorium, located in Siri Fort is a massive space that hosts live performances including theatre and plays almost every day. It is one of the biggest auditoriums in Delhi and was commissioned by Late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
