It is also very simple to implement and takes merely 20 minutes a day and trust us, it is a great way to start your daily regime.
4. Kapalbhati pranayama
Popularised by world-famous Baba Ramdev, Kapalbhati is one of the most powerful breathing techniques that is not just helpful for seniors but one and all. The main action of exhalation that is performed during Kapalbhati has a purifying effect on the nerves and the pranic nadis that helps calm both the mind and body releasing stress. It also helps in achieving a great body tone and improves the digestive system.
6. Aum chanting
If you want to start your day on a positive and fresh note, then Aum chanting is the best way to do so. Apart from creating positive vibes, it increases concentration and helps the mind rest in a peaceful state. Physically, it helps to decrease blood pressure and heart ailments.
7. Baddha Konasana (Butterfly pose)
An excellent Yoga position to rid yourself of ailments related to digestive issues and to help with the process of menopause, Baddha Konasana should be practised daily by seniors. It helps in calming one’s mind and keep mild depressive thoughts away. It is also highly practised in many Yoga studios and is a very popular exercise recommended by Yoga teachers.
8. Shavasana (Corpse Position)
To end your Yoga routine in a healthy way, it should be followed by Shavasana or the Cobra pose. Some of the benefits are that it cures insomnia and also has a preventive effect on those who have diabetes, constipation, and stress-related issues.
