The Australian High Commission is back with their 19th edition of annual charity mela, the Oz Haat. Find over 39 NGOs and their wide range of locally-made produce welcoming you with open arms. Products like textiles, jewellery, Christmas decorations, stationary and more will be displayed. All proceeds from the total sale from that day will directly go towards various charity organisations.
And once you’re done with your share of shopping, it’ll be time to soak in the winter sun with some Australian wine, BBQ and watch a popular band CHIZAI performing live. Don’t forget to miss on their theatre play by Aagaz to highlight some of the issues around gender. Say hello to gourmet snacks and classic Aussie BBQ by the club.
You can also bring in your kids! There’ll be magic shows, and storytelling session to keep them engaged for the evening. Organised by the Australian High Commission since 2000 as part of its Direct Aid Program, it provides development grants to NGOs across India. Entry is FREE, and everyone is welcome to have a gala time here and be a part of the celebration!
