“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would still smell as sweet “. So goes the famous quote by William Shakespear. It’s hard to know the context in which the great bard said that but in today’s day and age it’s certainly not true. Whether you consider the famous folk or the common man, the power lies in the name. A numerological analysis of a name, brings out some interesting observations.
For example let’s take a short and really common name like Ram. Now this name and all other names would eventually lead to a single digit number, and the indvidual would embody the traits linked to that number. To find out the number associated with a name, we assign values to each alphabet based on their position and add them up. So for Ram, R is the 18th word, A is the 1st word and M is the 13th word of the alphabet, 18+1+13 = 32. Finally we add up all the digits of the resultant to get a single digit number between 1-9, so ram’s number is 5(3+2=5). Now one just needs to look up the numerological chart and presto you would know your personality traits. Also a close observation of someone’s name would tell you that he would possess certain traits that would match the meaning of his name.
So now you probably know why the film stars and other famous folk change their names or in some cases the spellings of their name. Ofcourse for the glitterati the ease of pronounciation and appeal of a name are equally important, that’s why Salman Khan(Picture 1) doesn’t call himself Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan, which happens to be his actual complete name. Some other famous people who changed their name or are not known by their real names are:
