Based on the comments received on this feature we have identified a few points to take note of during your visit to any Nadi Astrology center and places to avoid going to.
Never give your name, date of birth or any other information which can identify something about you when you visit a Nadi Astrology center. Only give your thumb impression and answer any question they may ask in yes or no within five seconds.
If your leaf is found and the person who gives you the reading is saying a lot of negative things about your life and career, then start becoming suspicious. When the focus starts turning towards getting a lot of religious rituals and ceremonies done then it is likely that the center is a fraud.
Based on Alieesha Thomass comment, Shri Agasthiya Maha Shiva Naadi Astrological Center is run by a bunch of phonies and charlatans who only want to make a fool out of you and take your money. Places with this name are present mostly in Pune and Mumbai so please don’t visit these centers.

I recently went to a naadi center in Safdarjung delhi. It was near the Deer Park and Center for Sight, B-5/52 I think..THey said they’d been around for over 15 years here. I went during the diwali season so there was only 1 reader there.
I gave them my thumb print and took 2 weeks to get my leaf from Chennai. They guessed 100s of questions for 1-2 hours at least and then “found” my leaf. To their credit they guessed my name, year of birth and Father’s name together.
THen they started with some general statements which were somewhat correct- about health especially and gave some predictions. THe predictions seem contradictory to my life plan but who knows.
IMO they asked to many questions for this to sound legit. They dont ask for money until after your leaf is found so you could probably try them out.. If they ask too many questions, then you should probably move on. I paid them about Rs.3,500.
after reading all this now i am thinking should i go or not. and if i should go which one in mumbai is the right one and not a money minting center please suggest at the earliest. Also how many questions do they ask is it like 100’s of them
No in tamilnadu … parents will name their child in pre consultation with astrology … everything is like a puzzle … everything is related and recorded … great method by our tamil scientists in ancient history … and other things will fit common for all …. mostly 80 % …
I beg to differ. Not all Nadi Jyotish Kendras are filled with frauds. A couple of my close friends have gone to Tanjavur and gotten their readings done. It was absolutely authentic. However, the authentic ones are few and far between.
Today, I had the misfortune of meeting with a large group of phonies. They go by the name of Shri Agasthiya Maha Shiva Naadi Astrological Center and a person called A. N. Murugesan seems to be the kingpin of this scam. His name is printed all over the place and all their stationary, This particular brand has several offices all over Mumbai.
My mother had heard about them and insisted I accompany her to their offices to solve all our “problems”.
To begin with, these charlatans made us write our DOBs and names as we gave our thumb impression. We being first timers and not knowing the procedure properly went ahead and gave them this information.
The guy – Vishwanathan – who went by the name Swamiji, kept on asking me so many questions, and every time I said NO, he’d alter the question just a little bit, finally thanks to his brilliant guess work he managed to get a few yeses and decided to tell me that he’d found my bunch of leaves. He frightened the living day lights out of me and my mother predicting a very dismal future for me. Apparently without the poojas and the nivarans, we’d be destitute and I’d be single all my life! My mother, being the types who panics very easily, insisted I get the corrective remedies done ASAP, and the great “Swamiji” coned us into getting some poojas worth 17K done.
Thankfully I wasn’t carrying so much cash, but he kept on making the whole thing sound so morbid that on the insistence of my mother I parted with whatever was in my wallet as advance promising to pay the rest when I was supposed to go n pick up the prasad next week.
It was only after leaving that place I began feeling rather dumb and decided to do some research, when I found that we – my mother and I – were cheated big time!
I called him, and very sweetly asked for my money back, saying I didn’t want to do the poojas now, because of some major financial crunch and I wouldn’t be able to pay the rest next week either, so he asked me to come and pick up my advance payment tomorrow. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best!
I’m putting this feedback here as a warning… please do not go to this particular brand of nadi jyotish kendra. They are complete charlatans.

Just be very very sure that when they start asking question for identifying your leaf after thumb impression, you should just say yes or no after a wait of 5 seconds. The identification is done on these kind of questions-
1-You were born after July or before
2-Then shortlisting of month in upcoming 5-7 qstns.
3-Shortlisting of First letter of your mom/dad name, say S/R/P etc
4-then middle letter question after 5-7 qstns
etc etc.
5- Similarly about your wife name letters
6- Your year of birth  will also be asked in multiple answer options but not in continuously form but after 10-15 questions.

What i mean to say that, identification of your leaf  is done after asking 100 odd questions & you yourself will end up giving all answers in tits n bits over a session of 1-2 hrs but could not realize this in that mtng coz so many questions will be asked by opening every single leaf saying that these are the options written so pls reply. You will believe that a person can not remember all your answers given to him but telepathy can be practised by the person sitting opposite to you.
I am not doubting it but just try to give you a fair situation so that you come out of that meeting confidently.
