It is perhaps the most baffling question that will probably never be answered correctly. A women reading this might think that its so unfair to find a single result that generalizes the needs of what a woman desires from a partner, but can you blame the men for thinking this way?
Most men (ranging from 15 years to 70 years) desire women who are beautiful, attractive and feminine as the most basic characteristics. Thereafter opinions differ in regards to level of intellect, education, background etc but at-least men have some basic criteria about their dream women. Women on the other hand (as they would agree themselves) are hard to understand. Do they prefer men with six pack abs and have model looks or do they like geek and intelligent men who can take care of them and solve their problems or are they only looking for someone with lots of money and resources? No one knows.
Recently, the Times of India published a study which suggested that “Women might lust over hunks like Brad Pitt and George Clooney, but when it comes to relationship, they prefer a dorky geek who really knows how to fix things”. As per the article, which quotes a study based on a survey of 3,000 women, almost three quarters of the respondents said they were more attracted to men who understand gadgets and technology than blokes who spend hours keeping himself fit. Well, that does give engineers and geeks some hope but there is a big personality clash when it comes to Geeks and Beautiful women. The fact is that geeks are usually introverts, who stay within there own communities, have a low level of social aptitude and have never been desired or approached much by other people in any romantic way.
Beautiful women on the other hand are at the other end of the spectrum. They are highly extrovert, meet lots of people, have a high level of social aptitude and always get appraoched for different kinds of things. This clash of personalities has always intrigued people and of late has resulted in a number of highly rated television shows around the world. For instance, Beauty and the Geek is a reality television series that consists of a group of “Beauties” (young women who have relied primarily on their looks) and a group of “Geeks” (young men who have relied primarily on intellect rather than social aptitude or looks) who are paired up to compete as couples for a shared $250,000 and other prizes.
The Big Bang Theory is another American sitcom that is hugely popular around the world and revolves around five characters: four extremely geeky and socially awkward physicists and engineers and their neighbor across the hall Penny, an attractive blonde waitress and aspiring actress. Going by the popularity of the show one thing is for certain. Pairing up a geek and a beauty surely makes for highly comic entertainment as the video below taken from the Big Bang Theory shows.
